Born in London, Ajay Chowdhury read Law at university in both London and the Netherlands and has provided legal advice on various motion picture, music, publishing, television and theatrical projects. He was associate producer of two feature films, Lost Dogs (2005) and Flirting with Flamenco (2006), served on the advisory board of Tongues On Fire - The London Asian Film Festival, and penned the screenplay to the multi-award-winning Olympic-themed short, A Human Race (2012). Over the last two decades he has contributed to numerous books and magazines on the James Bond legacy and is regularly called upon by worldwide media to commentate on all things Bond. In 2015, he collaborated with Matthew Field on the 800-page chronicle of the franchise, Some Kind of Hero: The Remarkable Story of the James Bond Films published by The History Press, which Christopher Fowler called “the cinema book of the year” in The Independent on Sunday. The book was updated in 2018. The duo also co-authored two special-edition bookazines published by Mi6 Confidential, Remembering Roger Moore (2018) and Sean Connery: A James Bond Journey (2022).
