John Cork is the co-author of three books on the James Bond phenomenon produced under license from Eon Productions: James Bond, The Legacy (with Bruce Scivally), Bond Girls Are Forever (with Maryam d’Abo), and The James Bond Encyclopedia (with Collin Stutz). For Ian Fleming Publications, he penned introductions for 2017 hardback reprints of three of the original James Bond novels (Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Goldfinger).

From 1992—1999, Cork edited the print edition of Goldeneye Magazine for The Ian Fleming Foundation. From 1995—2008, Cork (through TWINE Entertainment and his own company, Cloverland) was involved in various incarnations of the “special features” on the Bond films through 2006’s Casino Royale.

Outside of James Bond, Cork wrote the screenplay for the Civil Rights drama, The Long Walk Home starring Whoopi Goldberg and Sissy Spacek. He subsequently worked as a screenwriter for Paramount, TriStar, Walt Disney, Universal, and various other companies. For producers Hilary Saltzman (daughter of original Bond producer Harry Saltzman) and Jude Hagin, Cork directed the award-winning feature documentary You Belong to Me: Sex, Race, Murder in the South.
